Young People's Concerts

Young People's Concerts are a wonderful opportunity for elementary school students in public, private, and home schools to enjoy the experience of seeing the San Antonio Symphony perform four classical musical selections based on a school theme of, typically, Reading, or Math, or Science. Concerts are performed at the Laurie Auditorium four times annually (typically six concerts over a 3-day period).

The Symphony’s assistant conductor, Akiko Fujimoto, leads the musicians in creative and relaxed music geared to 3rd, 4th and 5th graders during performances at the Laurie. The concerts engage students with carefully planned and highly-educational programs of music and lecture.
